Recently at Shawnee State University, some students have gone viral. If you have paid any attention lately to the university’s social media accounts, specifically TikTok, you will have noticed a change in what you would typically see from an official university account. As reported before, the group of students working on this campaign is from Shawnee’s social media management course. These students have done an incredible amount of work over the past year, managing to obtain views of up to 170,000 and 50,000 on two of their most recently posted videos.
This has caught the attention of not only students on campus but also faculty and staff. With the booming success of these videos, I wanted to get a comment from a student featured in them. I reached out to Hannah Kline, the seeming star of the entire project. Kline was prominently featured in the two videos that have garnered the most attention.

“I don’t think any of us ever intended that we would get over 100k views on one video and nearly 50k on another,” she said. “It feels crazy to know that so many people have seen me in those TikToks.”
“I am very proud of our class and all that we have accomplished this semester,” she said, humbly adding, “It took several people, sometimes the whole class, to make the TikToks. Everyone worked very hard this semester, and I think the College of Arts and Sciences is proud of us.”
Whether it be donning the orange shirt leading folks to think Chappell Roan was being played in prison or the fact that she is indeed the only non-communication major in the class, Kline has a way of making her mark. If you want a lot of views on your next TikTok video, you should see if she is available to contribute.
