Colin J. Long was born and raised here in Portsmouth, Ohio. He attended Wheelersburg High School, was an Eagle Scout for eight years and joined the U.S. Army National Guard on April 20, 2022. His Military Occupational Specialty (M.O.S.) is horizontal construction engineer. He earned that title on Nov. 12.

He is a Shawnee State sophomore this year and is majoring in communication because he wants a career where he can talk to people. In his free time, Colin enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing video games, fixing cars and most of all aspires to help and protect his community via his National Guard work.
