Hannah Smith is a third-year junior majoring in English with a minor in theater. After starting her college education at Columbus State Community College, Hannah recently transferred to Shawnee State to further her education in English. As she continues her academic journey, she plans on getting her master’s degree in library science in order to become a librarian, as reading is one of her passions. As such, she hopes that by joining the Chronicle, she can improve her writing skills as well as learn the ins and outs of journalism firsthand. 

As a new editor, Hannah hopes to improve her analysis skills through her work with the Chronicle. She said that she expects the position will help her analyze, create and better understand texts and will better prepare her for future endeavors she may have within the English world. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family as well as writing and reading.
