Jack Monroe, Staff Writer
Jack Monroe is a junior majoring in communication. Originally from Waverly, Ohio, he came to Shawnee State undecided on a major with not much of a clue of what he was going to do other than run cross country.
He attended Waverly High School, located about 30 miles away, so coming to Shawnee was not too big of an adjustment. He originally wanted to go to a bigger school and escape the small towns of Ohio, but he is very happy he ended up at Shawnee.
With his communication major, he plans to continue working with social media in some sort of capacity, as he does here for the marketing department on campus. Along with working in marketing, Jack works in the admissions office where he gives campus tours to prospective students.
Jack also has two younger brothers, Nick and Max. Nick attends Shawnee and is in the pre-med program. Jack’s favorite thing about Shawnee State is the people on campus and the class sizes.
