Jerry Igaz, Staff Reporter

Jerry “Koopa” Igaz II is a fourth-year senior majoring in English with a concentration in communications. He has a passion for writing and has been working on The Chronicle for a semester now. Koopa is from West Portsmouth and he came to Shawnee for its closeness to his hometown and for the community aspect. When he isn’t writing or playing video games, he is most often found singing on campus or partaking in aspects of theatre, having appeared in multiple plays run by the Portsmouth Area Arts Council. He also looks after a cat named Mewo.

Jerry most often spends his time in the Morris University Center when he isn’t busy with work at home. He brings to the campus a small little group where people can sit and relax in the Game Room and potentially make friends. You can often spot him on campus by looking for his hat, which is his defining feature. He often has plenty of advice to give for people who need it and will often lend an ear to those who just need to get something off of their chests because he believes everyone deserves to have someone they can turn to in a time of need!
