Nevada Warner, Staff Writer
Nevada Warner is a 19-year-old sophomore majoring in communication at Shawnee State University. She comes from Hillsboro, Ohio, (an hour northwest from Portsmouth) to Shawnee State University to complete her degree. She aspires to live a happy life and have a job that she doesn’t hate. As for short-term goals, she wants to avoid going into debt while in college.
Nevada describes herself as being a little bit introverted but not shy. Nevada’s pastimes include reading and driving around until she gets lost. While in high school, she played basketball, volleyball and participated in the local 4-H, focusing on the culinary section and dog showing.
Her most proud moments were graduating top of her class and being an aviation mechanic for two years. The reason she took the news reporting and writing class is that she has “always been better at writing” and believes this class is a good opportunity to learn about something new. She pushes herself every day to become a better person and set herself up for the future.
