Trevor Bailey is a senior at Shawnee State University majoring in English with a minor in Communication. He is originally from Oak Hill, Ohio, and graduated from his alma mater in 2018 with honors and received scholarships for his academic excellence. Starting his fourth academic year at Shawnee, he will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in spring of 2022. His interests include writing, reading, playing video games, watching movies, and sound design.

During his semester writing for the Chronicle, Trevor hopes to improve his skills as a writer and reporter. This opportunity with the college news source will allow him to accrue knowledge on the field of journalism on a much more personal level, as many of the events focused on will be right on campus. As Trevor has both a fascination with meeting and learning about people and creating written content for those interested to consume, this will serve as a potential outlet for many of his interests in politics, entertainment, and the community.

Aside from his experience as a writer in college, Trevor works as an intern reporter for a news publication in Jackson, Ohio – The Telegram. During his career, he has worked with industry professionals, like IFC Films, as well as covered stories on both local and national politicians. Additionally, he has interviewed movies directors and authors alike, with each encounter contributing to his education and growth as a journalist.
