Halloween Events Around Us

Get Connected On and Off Campus

Rachel Clingman, Staff Reporter

Grab your broomstick, spooky season is upon us! Listen closely, all of you lovers of fall and Halloween, Portsmouth is jumping back into action this year with their Halloween and fall festivities for the community to enjoy. As everyone is aware, the community was quiet last year. There was little to no celebrations all season long. Due to COVID-19 and rising case numbers, most public events were shut down to keep the community safe. Boredom crept through the streets as students did not know any other celebration than the ones they held either socially distanced or within their own homes with their families or roommates. But this year is packed with all of the “spooktacular” things that come with the month of October and celebrating the Halloween spirit! Between Shawnee State University, Shawnee State Park and the Portsmouth community, there will not be a bored student in sight for the entire spooky season! Check out the list below of all events taking place on campus or in the community this month.
