Rachel Clingman is beginning the fall semester of her senior year at Shawnee State University. Clingman will graduate in the Spring semester of 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in English Humanities, with a concentration in Integrated Language Arts 7-12. When she graduates, Clingman hopes to take her teaching career to inner-city Cleveland where she will begin her teaching career. Clingman has always wanted to be an English Teacher and hopes she can help students gain a love for reading and writing.
Outside of her teaching dreams, Clingman loves spending time with her friends, family, pets, and she loves attending any sporting events that she can. Clingman's favorite sport is basketball and she hopes to become a basketball coach someday. Along with her love for teaching and coaching, Clingman is a third-year Resident Assitant (RA) at SSU.
Within journalism, her interests include student life and sports. She believes that writing for The Chronicle will not only improve her writing skills but open her up and allow her to enjoy a new style of writing. She is very excited to be writing for the chronicle and cannot wait to see what news will come to Shawnee State.
