Anissa Peoples
Anissa Peoples is a senior studying English communication with a minor in fine arts game design. She intends to one day work for a gaming company, preferably as a community manager. Her reporting interests include campus events, national gaming news and community events. When she isn’t writing, Anissa serves as president of Shawnee GG, secretary and ritual chair of Theta Phi Alpha, competes in pageantry and plays video games such as Just Dance or Destiny. Anissa hopes to use her time at the Chronicle to demonstrate writing versatility in her portfolio. Despite her lack of interest in becoming a journalist, writing for the Chronicle has helped Anissa broaden her writing horizons and learn interview etiquette. Previously, Anissa has written articles for Shawnee State’s sports website, specializing in esports, and spent a short time with the Chronicle before they went digital. She has also published creative nonfiction work in the Silhouette and enjoys creative writing as a stress reliever. Currently she is a writing intern for SSU’s office of marketing and communications.
