Tom Stead, artist and former professor at both Shawnee and Ohio University, currently has his artwork showcased in the Appleton Gallery. The works, collectively titled “Through My Eyes,” is a culmination of paintings he has created over the 10 years since his retirement.

When asked for comments about the gallery, he responded, “I’m not going to tell you what each piece is about because it’s art, and with art, you should find your own interpretation”.
