Homecoming has come and gone at Shawnee State University. A friendly competition began on campus between several of SSU’s offices. This was an annual contest, with last year’s winner being the Student Business Center. This year’s judging took place on Friday, October 11 at 2:00pm by the one and only Shawn E. Bear. Last year’s office decorating winner was the Student Business Center, and this year’s winner was the Student Success Center. Signs were posted from SSU’s offices hope that students will “excuse the mess” while they made their finishing touches towards the end of the week. This year’s Homecoming theme was ‘Part Like It’s 1999’ in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the 1999 SSU Women’s Basketball National Championship team. All throughout campus students may have seen references to 1990’s cartoons, television shows and even clothing.
