A New Take on Bingo at Shawnee State

Hannah Sexton, Staff Reporter

On October 17, the Student Programming Board implemented a new way to play Bingo: in silence. For those who don’t know, the concept behind Silent Bingo is in the name; no one speaks at all. During the set-up, no music plays, no one speaks, and there is little to no interaction. Students are able to feel comfortable in a small area to combat the regular SSU Bingo, where there is an abundance of yelling and noise. Because there is a smaller number of students participating in Silent Bingo, it is easier to walk away with a prize.

The SPB plans to continue Silent Bingo as students approached members of how appreciative they were of the new version of Bingo. Silent Bingo takes place on the second Thursday of each month.
