The small town of Portsmouth, Ohio seems to be bringing in big name singers and artists. On Sept. 26, 2019 over 1,000 tickets were sold to fans wanting to hear the music of famous country singer, Travis Tritt. The Vern Riffe Center for the Arts here at Shawnee State University hosted Tritt, as well as up and coming country singer and artist Tom Tippin, son of country artist and singer Aaron Tippin. While at Shawnee State, Tippin opened the stage for Tritt with some of his father’s songs, as well as more modern cover songs. Travis Tritt entered the stage with only his guitar, for a solo acoustic performance warming the hearts and ears of all who attended.
