Dairy bars are popular restaurants well known for their cheap yet delicious meals. Dairy bars usually prepare these meals quickly, leaving plenty of time to attend class on time. There are several dairy bars in the area for students, as follows:

The closest dairy bar to campus is Second Street Dari Creme, located at 333 Second Street. Second Street Dari Creme is best known for their famous footers. This dairy bar is open year-round from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM and is owned by a local family. According to their Facebook page, they are “owned and operated by the Born family since 1956.” You can get more information at:  https://www.facebook.com/Second-Street-Dari-Creme-135001433235987/.

Another option for a local dairy bar is The Buckeye Dairy Bar. It is located at 13066 US Highway 52 in West Portsmouth. The Buckeye Dairy Bar is well known in the area for not only their delicious dairy bar, but also their own miniature golf course. According to their website, “We are a seasonal business offering the best in ice cream, burgers, footers and subs as well as handmade pizza! The dairy bar opens the last Thursday in February and closes for the season around the end of December.  The beautifully landscaped miniature golf course is open April through October.” For more information, visit their website:  https://buckeyedairybar.com/.
