Name: Kyle Wisniewski
Year: Junior
Hometown: Strongsville, Ohio
Position: RH Pitcher
Kyle Wisniewski is s junior from Strongsville, Ohio. He is majoring in Health Care Administration. On the ball diamond, he is a red-shirt sophomore pitcher in the rehabbing stages of Tommy John surgery. Last season, Kyle tore his ulnar collateral ligament (UCL), a ligament in the elbow common for pitchers to tear due to over-use.
In regard to the upcoming season, Wisniewski stated, “I am looking forward to getting back on the field with my best friends this season and proving the people who didn’t believe I could play at this level wrong. The rehab process for this particular surgery is twelve months and it is very long and tiring.” Kyle had high hopes after a brilliant freshman season, but that bubble was burst after receiving this terrible news. Kyle spoke on his expectations for the season, “I am expecting to be a reliable arm while competing for conference games each weekend.” Good luck this season Kyle, from us here at the Chronicle.
